I waked up in a beautiful day, warm and cloudless, so opposite of the last day which was cold and rainy. After the breakfast, Scott drove us to the day visit, Kings Canyon.
We began the hike in this gorgeous, happy heart for this sunny day. We climbed towards the cliffs from outside, through the maze of “weathered sandstones” domes.
After 45 minutes of tired walk, due at the steep track, we reached the Creek. It’s a large gorge with a small river streaming in its center. It was really spectacular to stand up above the chasm. I’m sure my mother would kill me if she knew I sat on the sharp edge of a one hundred meters cliff . I felt me in fact so small when I looked down to the trees. They looked like too teeny. And it was the same feeling about people standing on the other cliffs. I couldn’t have said if they were female or male. So huge!!
After half hour of breathtaking views from the lockout, we carried on the hike towards the Garden of Eden. We took a scarp downstairs to our goal: a narrow gorge. The air changed by an imperceptible way. It became shadowy, cool and humid. A large and slow river was flooding on the half of the gorge bottom, again one of the cliffs. On its way, it fell from a small cascade for filling up a circular deep pool. This special climate was perfect for the palms which grew on the riverside.
We stood in the Garden of Eden one hour and half. A good occasion for who wanted to dip in the pool. Personally, I just relaxed, ate an apple and watched people swimming. I clambered a small cliff too, for reaching a lockout above the king Creek. We were only a few who did that. It was a little bit hard (especially with a camera) and the fall easy, although not dangerous. But we weren’t disappointed because the view was terrific!
During the walk, we were able to observe some wildlife. Therefore I saw a lizard about 15 cm and a very cute bird called Spinifer pigeon. It was absolutely not afraid and came neat our feet to ask some food.
At the end, we drove back to the camping for lunch, before to take the road to Alice Springs. We drove all the afternoon stopping at Erlunda and somewhere in the bush just to change a wheel (it burst out it). We arrived at Alice Springs during a magnificent sunset and went straight to our hotel, the Annie’s place.
For dinner, we ate in a bar-restaurant with a country music band. We finished the evening in a night-club, where I carried not only 2 bid lizards, but also a 3 meters and 30kg python. It was very strange to fell them.

This day, I was lazy and I waked up only at 9 O’clock. As my trip tour was finished, I decided not to eat too much. It was expensive because, first, Alice Springs is far away of everything and secondly, because it’s a very touristic town.
So I began my exploration without breakfast (indeed, I didn’t need it!). I visited the city’s shop and went to Anzac Hill to see the city from this famous lookout.
In the beginning of the afternoon, I met Lidia in the main street, and we finished quickly the visit of the city (it’s small) and another time to Anzac Hill (for Lidia) Afterwards, I slept until the end of the afternoon.
For the sunset, Scoot drove us by bus to the Anzac hill (for the third time!! ) before to take the dinner in the backpackers hotel’s restaurant. I tasted a barramundi meal, a big Australian fish.
Just before to go sleep, Theresa (the fool of the trip) accused me about sexual harassment on Lidia! Just because we were too close to each other at her taste (I love people who speak about things they don’t know and which are not theirs!!).
